Miranda Lawson

My artistry finds cohesion in movement that is not limited to or defined by style. My identity as a Black queer woman paired with my extensive training in both contemporary and Hip-hop dance forms heavily guide the ways that I move, make and educate. My personal experiences at the intersections of these intertwined and profoundly embodied identities in culmination with my studies in social psychology deepen and challenge my understanding of self, governing much of my artistic research.
